Surf Club Exhibit at Surfing Heritage & Cultural Center

June 11, 2017

SCLU participated in the Surfing Heritage & Culture Center’s first ever Coalition of Surfing Clubs surf exhibit. The “Surf Club” exhibit is dedicated to the important contribution the Coalition of Surfing Clubs has made to the rich history and culture of the sport of surfing. SCLU is one of 14 clubs exhibiting club artifacts and history.

Bob Pearson made a special surfboard for our club display (complete with club decal). Gary’s Plastics donated the plexi-enclosed frame that was perfect for showing off the old club shirt! Jane, Cindy, and Rosemari worked on the display with help from Sarah Baker and Sarah Watters.

The exhibit was on display at the Surfing Heritage & Culture Center in San Clemente from March 11 through June 10, 2017.
